Intelligence · Extract Text
Turn a scan or screenshot into text you can copy.

The details
Small things, done properly.
-
Vision at its most accurate
Every image and scanned page gets Apple Vision’s most accurate recognition level, plus language correction.
-
Real PDF text, copied as is
When a PDF page already contains text, it’s copied directly. OCR is only used for scanned pages.
-
One file each, or combined
Save a separate plain text file for every input, or combine the whole batch into a single file.
-
Pages labelled
Every page is labelled, so you can find your place in a long PDF or a stack of scans.
-
Copy it all in one click
Copy everything that was found with one click, then paste it wherever you need it.
-
Nothing to install
Extract Text needs nothing extra to get started: no add-ons and no downloads, just drop your files in.

FAQ
Questions about Extract Text
Anything else? Email support@mightybench.com and a person will reply.
How do I copy text from an image on a Mac?
Open Extract Text, drop the image in and press Extract Text. The text is ready to copy in one click, and a plain text file lands in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.
Can it read scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned pages are read with OCR, while pages with real text are copied directly, so mixed PDFs are handled in one pass.
Do I need to set the language?
No. Language is set to automatic, and Apple Vision applies language correction as it reads.
Are my images or PDFs uploaded?
No. Text recognition runs on your Mac with Apple’s Vision framework. Nothing is sent anywhere, and the files you drop are never changed.
Can I get one text file for a whole batch?
Yes. Set Output to Combined for a single file, or leave it on One per file to get a separate text file for each image or PDF.
