How it works
Three steps, start to finish.
-
01
Open Split PDF
Press ⌃⌥Space and type “split pdf”, or pick it from MightyBench’s menu bar icon.
-
02
Add a PDF, choose how to split
Drop in a PDF, then pick Every page, Every N to cut it into groups of N pages, or Ranges to type the pieces, such as 1–3, 4–10.
-
03
Press Split
Each piece is named after your file with -page-N or -part-N added, and goes into a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench. The source PDF stays whole.
The details
Small things, done properly.
-
Names that sort themselves
Every piece carries the original name plus -page-N or -part-N, so Finder lists them in page order and you can see where each came from.
-
Ranges, typed your way
Choose Ranges and type something like 1–3, 4–10 to get one PDF per range, such as a report broken into its chapters.
-
Cut every N pages
Set N to 2 and a stack of scanned two-page forms becomes one PDF per form, all in one pass.
-
One page, one PDF
Choose Every page and each page becomes its own PDF, handy when a single sheet needs to go to someone without the rest.
-
Three modes, one inspector
Every page, Every N and Ranges sit side by side in the same inspector, so changing your mind is a single click.
