Intelligence · Summarize
A long meeting, boiled down to who does what.
Give it a PDF, notes, subtitles or a recording, and Apple’s on-device language model writes the short version as Key Points, a Paragraph or Action Items.

How it works
Three steps, start to finish.
-
01
Open Summarize
Press ⌃⌥Space and type “summary”, or pick it from MightyBench’s menu bar icon.
-
02
Drop files, pick a Style
Add PDFs, TXT, Markdown, SRT, images, audio or video. Choose Key Points, Paragraph or Action Items, and set the spoken language for recordings.
-
03
Press Summarize
Your summary is saved as plain text in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench. The files you dropped stay exactly as they were.
The details
Small things, done properly.
-
Apple Intelligence, on your Mac
Summaries are written on-device by Apple’s language model, so the files you drop never leave the machine.
-
Who does what
Choose Action Items and Summarize pulls out who does what from a meeting recording.
-
Long documents, in parts
Long documents are condensed in parts, and the parts are then combined into one summary.
-
Recordings and scans too
Recordings are transcribed on-device first and scans are read with OCR, so a call or a photographed page can be summarised as well.
-
Saved as plain text
Each summary is saved as a plain text file, so it’s easy to paste into a message or keep alongside your notes.

How do I summarise a PDF on a Mac?
Open Summarize, drop the PDF in, choose a Style such as Key Points and press Summarize. You get a plain text summary in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.
Does Summarize need Apple Intelligence?
Yes. Summarize needs a Mac with Apple Intelligence turned on, since Apple’s on-device language model does the writing.
Can it summarise a meeting recording?
Yes. Drop the audio or video, set the spoken language and choose Action Items. The recording is transcribed on-device first, then the Action Items style lists who does what.
Are my documents sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your Mac, from transcribing recordings to writing the summary. There’s no account, no cloud and no analytics.
Can it handle long documents?
Yes. Summarize condenses a long document part by part, then combines those parts into one summary.
Will it work on a scanned PDF or a photo of a page?
Yes. Scans and images are read with OCR first, then summarised in whichever Style you picked.
Plus forty-eight other tools.
Summarize comes with every other MightyBench tool: video, audio, images, PDFs and on-device AI in one native Mac app. Pay $39 once for one Mac, with every MightyBench 1.x update included.
