Open Remove Background
Press ⌃⌥Space and type “cutout”, or pick it from MightyBench’s menu bar icon.

Pick a Background
Choose Transparent, White or Colour, leave Crop to subject on to trim the empty border, and save as PNG, HEIC or WebP.

Cutouts are written to a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench, ready for slides and listings. Your original photos stay untouched.

How do I remove the background from a photo on a Mac?
Open Remove Background, drop the photo in and press Remove Background. Apple’s Vision framework finds the subject, and the cutout lands in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.
Can I put the cutout on a white background?
Yes. Set Background to White, or choose Colour and pick any colour you like. Transparent keeps it see-through.
What kinds of subjects does it find?
Apple’s Vision framework looks for the people, pets and objects in the foreground of each photo. There’s nothing to trace; the subject is found for you.
Can I remove backgrounds from many images at once?
Yes. Drop a batch, check the before and after for any image in it, then press Remove Background once for the lot.
