Morning, everyone. Let’s start with the launch checklist.
- 200:00:08,300 → 00:00:12,600
The website copy is finished. The screenshots still need a pass.

I can take those tomorrow morning.

The details
Small things, done properly.
-
Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer model
Transcription runs on Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer model, entirely on your Mac. Your recordings are never uploaded.
-
Offline after one download
Each language is a one-time download from Apple. After that, Transcribe works without an internet connection.
-
Subtitles with timings
SRT and VTT files come with timings, ready for video players, editors or MightyBench’s own Burn In Subtitles.
-
Text with timestamps
Choose Timestamped text for a transcript with times alongside the words, useful for finding a moment in the recording later.
-
Transcript on screen
Scroll through the transcript in Transcribe itself and copy it straight into a note, an email or a document.
-
Hand it to the next tool
Send an SRT straight to Burn In Subtitles with Send to next tool, so the captions end up in the video itself.

FAQ
Questions about Transcribe
Anything else? Email support@mightybench.com and a person will reply.
How do I transcribe audio on a Mac?
Open Transcribe, drop in the audio or video, choose its language and press Transcribe. The transcript shows up in the app and is saved to a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.
Does Transcribe work offline?
Yes, once your language is downloaded. That download from Apple happens only once; after it, transcription needs no connection at all.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Speech is recognised on your Mac by Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer model, and nothing is uploaded at any point.
Can I make SRT subtitles from a video?
Yes. Set Save as to SRT or VTT and drop in the video. You get a timed subtitle file to load in a player or editor, or to send on to Burn In Subtitles.
Which file formats can I transcribe?
Audio and video files, including MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF, MOV, MP4 and more. Your originals are never changed.
Plus forty-eight other tools.
Transcribe comes with every other MightyBench tool: video, audio, images, PDFs and on-device AI in one native Mac app. Pay $39 once for one Mac, with every MightyBench 1.x update included.
