Fix a whole batch of sideways photos in one turn.

Turn 90° left, 180° or 90° right, or flip horizontally or vertically. Every pixel is kept, and width and height simply swap on a quarter turn.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Open Rotate Images

Press ⌃⌥Space and type “rotate photos”, or pick it from MightyBench’s menu bar icon.

  2. 02

Choose a Turn or a flip

Pick 90° Left, 180° or 90° Right, add a horizontal or vertical flip if you need one, then set Output to PNG or Same as original.

  3. 03

    Press Rotate

Turned copies land in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench and look the same in every app. The original photos aren’t changed.

The details

Small things, done properly.

  • Quarter turns and half turns

Turn every photo in the batch 90° left, 180° or 90° right with a single setting.

  • Mirror either way

Flip horizontally or vertically, on its own or together with a turn, for mirrored or upside-down pictures.

  • Every pixel kept

Rotation keeps every pixel. On a quarter turn the width and height simply swap, so nothing is cropped away.

  • Reads the camera’s orientation

MightyBench checks the orientation your camera recorded before turning, so the copy looks the same in every app.

  • Lossless PNG or same format

Save as PNG, which is lossless, or keep each photo in its original format with Same as original.

FAQ

Questions about Rotate Images

Anything else? Email support@mightybench.com and a person will reply.

How do I rotate several photos at once on a Mac?

Open Rotate Images, drop the photos in and choose 90° Left, 180° or 90° Right. Press Rotate and the whole batch is turned and saved to a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.

Why does a photo look sideways in one app but not another?

Cameras can record orientation separately from the pixels, and apps don’t always read it the same way. Rotate Images reads it first, so the copy looks the same everywhere.

Can I flip an image horizontally?

Yes. Choose a horizontal or vertical flip, on its own or along with a turn, and the whole batch is mirrored the same way.

Does rotating reduce image quality?

Every pixel is kept, and PNG output is lossless. Choose Same as original if you’d rather keep each photo in the format it came in.

Will it overwrite my original photos?

No. Rotated copies are published to a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench and the originals stay exactly as they are.
