PDF · PDF to Images

Every page becomes a picture, sized to the width you set.

Every page of the PDF is saved as its own image, in the format you pick. The height follows the page shape, so a tall page or a wide slide is never stretched.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Open PDF to Images

Press ⌃⌥Space and type “pdf png”, or pick it from MightyBench’s menu bar icon.

  2. 02

Drop a PDF, pick format and width

Choose JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP or TIFF and set the Width in pixels, 1920 by default. Lossy formats get a Quality setting too.

  3. 03

    Press Export Images

One image per page, named after the PDF with -page-N, goes to a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench in page order. The PDF itself is untouched.

The details

Small things, done properly.

  • Width set, shape kept

Choose the width in pixels, 1920 by default. Height follows each page’s shape, so nothing is stretched.

  • Five image formats

Save as JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP or TIFF, with nothing extra to install for any of them.

  • Files in page order

Images are named after the PDF with -page-N added, so they sort in the same order as the pages.

  • Quality where it counts

Lossy formats come with a Quality setting, so you can trade file size against detail.

  • Pages stay on your Mac

Pages become pictures on your Mac, so confidential slides and statements are never handed to a converter website.

FAQ

Questions about PDF to Images

Anything else? Email support@mightybench.com and a person will reply.

How do I convert a PDF to images on a Mac?

Open PDF to Images, drop the PDF in, choose a format and press Export Images. Every page is saved as its own image in a new dated folder in Downloads › MightyBench.

Can I save PDF pages as JPEG instead of PNG?

Yes. Choose JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP or TIFF. JPEG and the other lossy formats also let you set the quality.

What resolution are the exported images?

1920 pixels wide unless you change the width. The height follows the page shape, so pages are never stretched or squashed.

How are the image files named?

After the PDF, with -page-N on the end, so the images sort in page order in Finder.

Do I need to install anything for WebP or HEIC?

No. PDF to Images needs nothing extra, for WebP, HEIC or any of the other formats.
